The ABB TC513 (Order No: 3BSE006385R1 or variant 3BSE018405R1 for V1) is a specialized AF100 Local Area Network (LAN) Interface Module designed exclusively for the ABB Advant OCS (Open Control System) and MasterPiece 200 (MP200) distributed control systems. Often mislabeled as a simple “modem,” the TC513 is actually a sophisticated communication processor that enables controllers (e.g., CE110. CP400), operator stations, and engineering workstations to communicate over ABB’s proprietary AF100 real-time network. Uniquely, the TC513 supports both Twisted Pair (TP) and Coaxial (Coax) physical media, allowing plant engineers to maintain legacy cabling infrastructure or migrate between media types without replacing the entire network card.
