The Bently Nevada 3500/20 is a fundamental component of the 3500 Machinery Protection System, serving as the Rack Interface Module. This module is designed to provide a communication link between the 3500 rack and external monitoring systems, such as Distributed Control Systems (DCS), Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), or the Bently Nevada System 1 software. The 3500/20 acts as the central gateway for the rack, facilitating the transmission of critical machine health data, including vibration, position, and process parameters, to higher-level control and analysis platforms.

As a half-height module, the 3500/20 is installed in the leftmost slot of any 3500 rack configuration.
