Description
The EPRO CON011 9200-00001 is a high-reliability vibration monitoring and signal conditioning module developed by Epro GmbH (now part of Baker Hughes, following its acquisition via GE Oil & Gas). Designed for continuous online condition monitoring of rotating machinery, the CON011 interfaces directly with EPRO seismic velocity sensors such as the PR9268/20 or eddy-current probes like the PR6423. converting raw vibration signals into standardized industrial outputs for integration into DCS, PLC, or dedicated protection systems.
Housed in a compact DIN-rail mountable enclosure, the CON011 provides buffered analog outputs (±10 V, 4–20 mA), programmable alarm relays, and channel isolation, making it essential for early fault detection in turbines, compressors, pumps, and generators across power generation, oil & gas, and heavy industry.
Application Scenarios
At a European combined-cycle power plant, a main boiler feed pump began exhibiting abnormal bearing noise. The existing Bently Nevada system lacked spare channels, but engineers installed an EPRO CON011 9200-00001 module paired with a PR9268/20 seismic sensor on the non-drive end. Within 72 hours, the CON011’s 4–20 mA output triggered a high-vibration alarm in the Siemens PCS7 DCS at 7.2 mm/s RMS—well before catastrophic failure. The pump was shut down during a planned window, avoiding a $4.5M forced outage and potential safety incident. This highlights how the CON011 delivers cost-effective, scalable machine protection without full system replacement.
